1. Cotton, Jute, plastic - woven, non woven there is an endless choice, but they all use new fabric. Fabric that takes further resources and energy to manufacture.
  2. Organic cotton may be grown in a friendly way, but it still takes land, labour, water and energy to weave, dye etc. and that’s just to make the fabric.
  3. None of these bags do anything to reduce the thousands of sacks thrown away everyday.
  4. There is enough plastic in an old 25 KG sack to make 20 or more disposable plastic bags.
  5. So why use new fabric to solve the problem when there are so many sacks going to waste?
